Hey everyone!
So as i'm in my 3rd year at uni, i have to write my dissertation this year.
I am writing mine one Lolita!
I have written a questionaire that i would really appreciate if some people could answer for me. It is aimed for people who wear Lolita themselves and are part of their local Lolita community.
please could you answer them as honestly as you can and post your answers as a comment under this post. If there are enough people who answer i might do a mini giveaway so stay tuned after you answer! :)

6- Do you:
a) buy and wear only brand
b) prefer to make your own clothes
c) like to buy clothes but stick to stores like BodyLine or replica stores like Dream of Lolita

Can I pick all 3? xD I like brand, offbrand, and handmade items. ♥ I mainly wear AP, but I have handmade and offbrand too. ^^
7: Nope~. What would be the fun in that?
8: Hell no! xD People should definitely be able to mix their own little style with their lolita clothes and still be considered "true Lolita"s.
9: Oh yes~. There's many in the same state, but I live a little far from everyone else. xD; I'm in GA, USA.I believe there's well over 100 of us, but not all really go to meet-ups. ^^
10: I'm not personally one, but I do know a few.
11: I don't really see it as either. It's their choice, so why label it as something other than just a lifestyle?
12: Other than the name? Nope.

1 - what age group do you fit into?:

16-20
2 - Sex: female
3 - Your preferred Lolita style: OTT Sweet, Fairy Loli
4 - Why do you wear/ Why did you become interested in the Lolita fashion?
What is it particularly about the fashion that appeals to you?
I just really enjoy how pretty and elaborate it is
5 - Why do you think other girls wear lolita?
Probably for the same reason
6- Do you:
b & c
7 - Do you follow the strict rules outlined for the correct attire and ettiquette?
Not really.
8 - Do you believe that following these rules is required to be a "true Lolita"?
Im not entirely sure on that. I've never really understood the term "true lolita" so I can't answer.
9 - Are there other Lolitas in your area? If so, where abouts in the world are you and
how many others are there near you?
Yes! I live around Atlanta GA and there are plenty of other lolitas around.
10 - Are you or do you know of any "lifestyle lolitas"?
I used to sort of consider myself one, but in a way that my lifestyle had a lot to do with lolita, not changing my hobbies and likes to fit lolita.
11 - What is your opinion on the concept that a strict Lolita lifestyle can be compared to
a cult or religion?
I think being a lifestyler is different for everyone, it's nothing like a cult or religion since the only real requirements (if you could even call it that) are to like lolita and think of yourself as leading a lolita lifestyle.
12 - Do you agree in anyway that there is a connection between the Lolita fashion
and the novel written by Vladimir Nabokov?
Not really. There's the name, but when this style was named it was taken to mean "young girl" to sort of accentuate the prairie girl look the style had back then. The name is pretty unfortunate, since its a mistranslated that caused a ton of problems in the western world for lolitas.
1 - 21-25
ReplyDelete2 - female
3 - nerdy-sweetish, oldschool gothic, classic
4 - I wear Lolita because it's pretty and I can't run around naked. I like all the small details and the shape.
5 - Because it's pretty and it makes you feel special
6- b) I'm a professional seamstress actually
7 - Not at all
8 - I think you need to know the rules to be able to bend them in a good way and create something very special
9 - I live in Vienna, Austria and in my town live around... 20 Lolitas, I think.
10 - More than one actually
11 - You can make a cult out of everything if you overdo it. Fanaticism is never a good thing.
12 - Not at all.
1 - what age group do you fit into?: 21-25
ReplyDelete2 - Sex: female
3 - Your preferred Lolita style: sweet, sometimes classic
4 - Why do you wear/ Why did you become interested in the Lolita fashion?
What is it particularly about the fashion that appeals to you?
It's just fun :) Lolita is one of the few fashions where you can take one piece and dress it WAAAAY up or waaaay down depending on what else you pair with it, and I love that.
5 - Why do you think other girls wear lolita?
Various reasons...some people feel prettiest in lolita, some people are just like, "meh, this looks good, I'll wear it."
6- Do you:
a) buy and wear only brand
b) prefer to make your own clothes
c) like to buy clothes but stick to stores like BodyLine or replica stores like Dream of Lolita
and Secret Shop?
I tend to stick to Bodyline and replicas, mainly for money reasons. I have nothing against brand and I'd love to own some one day, but I'm not the most wealthy at the moment.
7 - Do you follow the strict rules outlined for the correct attire and ettiquette?
nope :3
8 - Do you believe that following these rules is required to be a "true Lolita"?
No; I think that as long as you've got the basic idea (correct shape, accessories, etc.), then it's lolita.
9 - Are there other Lolitas in your area? If so, where abouts in the world are you and
how many others are there near you?
oh gods yes :o I live in Atlanta, and we've got a MASSIVE lolita community.
10 - Are you or do you know of any "lifestyle lolitas"?
I'm not, but I do know a few.
11 - What is your opinion on the concept that a strict Lolita lifestyle can be compared to
a cult or religion?
Meh, not any more or less than anything else can. Any hobby or behavior could become cult-like if someone's obsessed enough with it.
9 - Do you agree in anyway that there is a connection between the Lolita fashion
and the novel written by Vladimir Nabokov?
No.
1 - what age group do you fit into?:
ReplyDelete16-20 (I just turned 20 in December)
2 - Sex: (male/female)
Female.
3 - Your preferred Lolita style: (eg: classic, gothic, sweet, etc)
Gothic, definitely Gothic. I love sweet, too but... it wouldn't really suit me to wear it.
4 - Why do you wear/ Why did you become interested in the Lolita fashion?
What is it particularly about the fashion that appeals to you?
What made it appeal to me when I saw first it was that it was so... It's hard to describe why I ended up liking it. I think it was because it appealed to my love of old/Victorian style clothing, and also my minor obsession with Alice in Wonderland (I wish they made more Gothic-style Alice prints!). It appeals to me mostly because the general style is so pretty. I wear it because it makes me feel fancy and classy.
5 - Why do you think other girls wear lolita?
Probably for similar reasons -- because it appeals to their asthetics.
6- Do you:
a) buy and wear only brand
b) prefer to make your own clothes
c) like to buy clothes but stick to stores like BodyLine or replica stores like Dream of Lolita
and Secret Shop?
Well, right now, I prefer to make my own clothing but I'm planning to buy Antique Clock from Bodyline and I'm SUPER excited.
7 - Do you follow the strict rules outlined for the correct attire and ettiquette?
I try to follow the rules for proper Lolita attire (the shape, the modesty, etc.) but I don't follow any kind of rules outlined for ettiquette, I try to be polite and be a decent person to most people, but I'm not exactly...ladylike in my speech or mannerisms.
8 - Do you believe that following these rules is required to be a "true Lolita"?
Goodness no -- I mean, adhering to the proper attire (the shape and modesty and etc.,) is what makes a "true Lolita" -- it has nothing to do with the way you behave, or I don't think so.
9 - Are there other Lolitas in your area? If so, where abouts in the world are you and
how many others are there near you?
There are one or two, to my knowledge. I've met a few other girls. I live in Wausau, Wisconsin. It surprised me a LOT to meet any other Lolitas living here since most people who are in "alternative" fashion styles... Seem to get side-eyed a lot...
10 - Are you or do you know of any "lifestyle lolitas"?
No, I don't know any. I'd like to be a Lifestyler to be honest -- I'd love to wear it every day and Lolify everything around me, but I don't have the time or the money to do so at the moment... But I'll get there eventually.
11 - What is your opinion on the concept that a strict Lolita lifestyle can be compared to
a cult or religion?
Oh my God, there are people who think that? I guess I can see that if people get too obsessed with it...
9 - Do you agree in anyway that there is a connection between the Lolita fashion
and the novel written by Vladimir Nabokov?
Probably only in the title. I've really seen nothing that would show that Lolita fashion has anything to do with the Lolita novel, other than the title.
1 - what age group do you fit into?:
ReplyDelete16-20
2 - Sex: female
3 - Your preferred Lolita style: gothic lolita
4 - Why do you wear/ Why did you become interested in the Lolita fashion? What is it particularly about the fashion that appeals to you?
Lolita fashion makes me feel beautiful. It shows me, it lets me show and express myself. Whether it's a beautiful gothic lolita coord or a casual or classic ensemble it makes me feel beautiful. I love japanese fashion, and this is particularly one of my favourites! I love how beautiful and feminine it is.
5 - Why do you think other girls wear lolita?
6- Do you:
a) buy and wear only brand
b) prefer to make your own clothes
c) like to buy clothes but stick to stores like BodyLine or replica stores like Dream of Lolita and Secret Shop?
b) and c)!
7 - Do you follow the strict rules outlined for the correct attire and ettiquette?
not exactly. I feel like lolita, like any style should be expanded and worked on based on your personality. I stick to some of the musts, but I believe fashion should be made your own, and lolita is no exception.
8 - Do you believe that following these rules is required to be a "true Lolita"?
not at all! anyone who calls someone "ita" just because they don't fit the perfect image of loli are ridiculous! If you love the style, are an enthusiast and want to add your own flare you should go for it.
9 - Are there other Lolitas in your area? If so, where abouts in the world are you and how many others are there near you?
I like outside of the gta and I only know of one other lolita. Sadly I don't know her personally!
10 - Are you or do you know of any "lifestyle lolitas"?
No, I am not. I have to many bits of my personalities and styles. Sometimes I act exactly the opposite of what a lifestyle lolita does.
11 - What is your opinion on the concept that a strict Lolita lifestyle can be compared to a cult or religion?
I don't think it can be compared to that. There is no godly reference or greater being to please or worship. it's just that some people may live by the lifestyle, forced or naturally. That's their decision.
12 - Do you agree in anyway that there is a connection between the Lolita fashion and the novel written by Vladimir Nabokov?
absolutely not. They are completely different.
1 - what age group do you fit into?:
ReplyDelete16-20
2 - Sex: (male/female)
Female
3 - Your preferred Lolita style: (eg: classic, gothic, sweet, etc)
Classic and sweet.
4 - Why do you wear/ Why did you become interested in the Lolita fashion?
What is it particularly about the fashion that appeals to you?
I love Victorian style fashion, I also love cute fashion, and street fashion. Lolita encompasses all of this! I became interested in lolita when I was int he 9th grade and I am now in the second year of university. If this is a phase it's a really long one ;-P
5 - Why do you think other girls wear lolita?
Because it's cute, mainly.
6- Do you:
a) buy and wear only brand
b) prefer to make your own clothes
c) like to buy clothes but stick to stores like BodyLine or replica stores like Dream of Lolita
and Secret Shop?
I prefer to make my own clothes, but I will be buying shoes from qutieland soon and maybe some clothes too. I would buy brand if it would fit me!
7 - Do you follow the strict rules outlined for the correct attire and ettiquette?
Etiquette schmettiquette! As long as I keep my dress clean I do whatever I want! Other than that I do wear petti's but not bloomers (mainly because I don't have them). I wear short leggings instead of bloomers underneath my skirts.
8 - Do you believe that following these rules is required to be a "true Lolita"?
I think "true lolita's" are people who have researched the fashion and know it is not a costume. I believe that a petticoat SHOULD be worn with the style, however bloomers I find optional and anything else too. I do tell people to stay away from bad raschel lace but that's the seamstress in me talking!
9 - Are there other Lolitas in your area? If so, where abouts in the world are you and
how many others are there near you?
There are only two that I know of other than myself near me. I know people interested in it who don't wear it too. The two I know either don't wear it a lot, or wear it to conventions only. I do have a friend though who has planned to wear lolita with me one day to class. I live in New Brunswick Canada, in the capital city.
10 - Are you or do you know of any "lifestyle lolitas"?
I am neither one nor do I know one.
11 - What is your opinion on the concept that a strict Lolita lifestyle can be compared to
a cult or religion?
I don't think it can be compared to a religion in the slightest. It's not like they bow down to the lolita gods! It is also not a cult because they don't seek to recruit members! In the very basic definition of those terms being a lifestyle lolita is neither! It is as it says: A lifestyle choice.
9 - Do you agree in anyway that there is a connection between the Lolita fashion
and the novel written by Vladimir Nabokov?
There is absolutely no connection whatsoever other than sharing a name.
1 - what age group do you fit into?:
ReplyDelete21-25
2 - Sex: (male/female)
female
3 - Your preferred Lolita style: (eg: classic, gothic, sweet, etc)
classic and country, but I'm still building a wardrobe so sometimes it's a little more gothic (borrowed from a friend) etc.
4 - Why do you wear/ Why did you become interested in the Lolita fashion?
I saw some photosets of lolita brand items from a tumblr I follow (pardonmybloomers) and thought they were beautiful dresses. I can't afford that kind of stuff on a student budget, but a friend of mine has a sewing machine and I'd always been kind of interested in learning to sew. Lolita clothes seemed like a good place to start - there are a lot of loliable patterns available, so me and said friend went to JoAnn's when they were having a pattern sale and...pretty much, the rest is history.
What is it particularly about the fashion that appeals to you?
I've never been a very "girly" girl but I've gotten more interested in skirts and dresses over the past few years. I liked that lolita clothes are so unexpected on an American college campus that people do a double take and sometimes you get a "wow." I've never had anyone tell me it looks tacky or weird (though sometimes, especially around Halloween, they ask me what I'm dressed up as...*sigh*) and mostly if people comment it's really positive, even from strangers!
5 - Why do you think other girls wear lolita?
Why do girls wear any kind of fashion? Because it makes them feel pretty, or it makes them feel like they fit in (or, for nonconformist types like me, it makes them feel like they stand out). Even if people consider it a costume, it can be a kind of battle dress, confidence-building clothing. When I wear lolita, I find my posture improves, and though I fuss over my petticoats and skirts getting rumpled, overall I'm a lot more confident in myself and I walk like I know what I'm doing (whether I do or not). A lot of girls struggle with body image and self-consciousness, myself included. If you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that your clothes are *beautiful* then it's easy to pretend you're a fashion model or you're just showing off the clothes...and maybe you're a little more beautiful for wearing them.
6- Do you:
b) prefer to make your own clothes
part of the reason I was able to do lolita at all was my friend's sewing machine and a "learn to sew" pattern I used for my first skirt (which has some flaws, but honestly turned out pretty well). I really enjoy sewing and being able to make my own clothes, so this has worked out well for me (now I just have to get through my fabric hoard and start making MORE loli clothes!)
7 - Do you follow the strict rules outlined for the correct attire and etiquette?
(etiquette was misspelled, dear, you should fix that for your dissertation)
I don't hide smiles behind my hand or things like that. I wear lolita to class, to parties...I act like I usually do, which might be more proper than other people, but it depends on who I'm with. Sometimes I swear while I'm wearing a petticoat (horror!) but I sit up straight and I keep my knees together when I sit, which I don't always do when I'm wearing my civvies.
(PART TWO)
ReplyDelete8 - Do you believe that following these rules is required to be a "true Lolita"?
Maybe, but if they are, then I'm okay with being a part-timer or a "poser." I think lolita is an awesome fashion style, but honestly there are people who take it too far. It's great that there are communities of lolis who talk about where to get the best/cheapest things and get together to have tea parties, but I'm fine at my own level - occasional internet commiseration at the inaccessibility of brand, and wearing lolita when I want to feel pretty, not when I want to act like an anime character or a porcelain doll.
9 - Are there other Lolitas in your area? If so, where abouts in the world are you and
how many others are there near you?
uhhh...I'm sure there are, but I don't know them. My friend with the sewing machine has a few loli items, though she's a goth-type loli. Sometimes we go out in coords together, but usually only to events. We're both anime cosplayers too, so we're used to people staring :)
10 - Are you or do you know of any "lifestyle lolitas"?
no. I could never be that intense (I love wearing jeans and cocktail dresses and all sorts of things that aren't loli! And I sleep in the nude, lol, which I'm sure is not acceptable behavior from a lifestyler).
11 - What is your opinion on the concept that a strict Lolita lifestyle can be compared to
a cult or religion?
I don't know any lifestylers, so it's hard to say. But I feel like comparing cults and religions is unfair. Lifestyle lolita might be a bit like a religion - there are rules, there are guidelines, there are "sins". But a cult implies there's someone in a position of power who punishes the wrongdoer or has them ostracized or shamed...it also implies a level of brainwashing. There could be peer pressure to become a lifestyler, but if you have that sort of friends they're not very good lolitas, are they? Or good people, for that matter.
9 - Do you agree in any way that there is a connection between the Lolita fashion
and the novel written by Vladimir Nabokov?
People believe there is a connection, which means there's an association whether lolitas want to believe it or not. We never asked for it, but sometimes these things happen. Loli fashion does encompass some styles that would have been fashionable when "Lolita" was written, there's obviously a name in common, and who knows what was going through the minds of the founders of loli style. What only lolis seem to really know, though, is that lolita fashion is not about sexual promiscuity, it's about modesty. Even ero loli involves wearing more fabric than the typical coed, and it's usually much less revealing/tight.
Hiiiii! I hope this helps you out a bit!
ReplyDelete1 - what age group do you fit into?:
16-20
2 - Sex:
Female.
3 - Your preferred Lolita style:
Sweet, otome.
4 - Why do you wear/ Why did you become interested in the Lolita fashion? What is it particularly about the fashion that appeals to you?
I saw photos of girls wearing it when I was young and didn't understand the concept of it, I just thought they looked like porcelain dolls, and from there I ended up becoming one of them myself haha!
I really like the aesthetics of it, it's very adorable and sweet, and it makes me feel really lovely when I wear it. It's really not a style of dress you see everyday in Australia, and when it lights up someone else's face that in turn makes me smile too ^___^!!
5 - Why do you think other girls wear lolita?
I think girls would wear lolita for the same reasons. It does make you feel very very pretty, and hiding poor self confidence behind beautiful frills is easy.
6- Do you:
a) buy and wear only brand
Mostly a, but I do have a few offbrand and replica dresses.
7 - Do you follow the strict rules outlined for the correct attire and ettiquette?
I try and stick to them, but they're more "guidelines" than "rules" ~ehehehehehe Pirates of the Caribbean reference~. I think some of the rules are a bit outlandish though. Lolita should make you happy, and you should be able to do it "your way" to an extent without someone harassing you because you've done it wrong by adding this, or wearing that, or spilling food on you, or accidentally swearing when you stub your toe etc etc.
8 - Do you believe that following these rules is required to be a "true Lolita"?
No. Not at all.
A true lolita is someone who feels comfortable in what they're wearing, and doesn't bring down others because of the way they wear the style.
9 - Are there other Lolitas in your area? If so, where abouts in the world are you and how many others are there near you?
Yes, we have a whole community in Sydney *checks community page for numbers* There are 77 of us!
We are always getting together for meets and activities, it's a really really active community which is lovely.
10 - Are you or do you know of any "lifestyle lolitas"?
No >.< I personally am not, but there might be one or two girls in the community that are like that.
11 - What is your opinion on the concept that a strict Lolita lifestyle can be compared to a cult or religion?
Cults and religions are based on following some form of deity. There is no Lolita god nor person in place to worship, therefore it cannot be related to a cult or religion.
9 - Do you agree in anyway that there is a connection between the Lolita fashion and the novel written by Vladimir Nabokov?
Nooooooooo >.< Not this again *sigh*
1 - what age group do you fit into?:
ReplyDelete16-20
2 - Sex: (female
3 - Your preferred Lolita style: classic
4 - Why do you wear/ Why did you become interested in the Lolita fashion?
What is it particularly about the fashion that appeals to you?
I'm a seamstress and an avid fan of costuming, specifically renaissance-esque costumes, and so eventually this lead me to lolita.
I love the style, the silhouette, and all of the awesome prints in classic outfits.
5 - Why do you think other girls wear lolita?
To feel pretty and feminine, or they just love the style so they feel confident in it.
6- Do you:
b) prefer to make your own clothes
7 - Do you follow the strict rules outlined for the correct attire and ettiquette?
I usually find that only certain things actually look like the style they are trying to portray, so in that sense, yes, only certain things are "correct attire", but I'm all for branching out as long as you're okay with making your own style out of it. Etiquette, not so much, I feel that lolita is just a fashion, not a lifestyle.
8 - Do you believe that following these rules is required to be a "true Lolita"?
No, you're lolita if you like lolita and wear it. You don't have to follow guidelines to enjoy a fashion.
9 - Are there other Lolitas in your area? If so, where abouts in the world are you and
how many others are there near you?
No
10 - Are you or do you know of any "lifestyle lolitas"?
No to both
11 - What is your opinion on the concept that a strict Lolita lifestyle can be compared to
a cult or religion?
A religion requires belief in a god, so obviously lifestyle lolitas would not be considered that. However, if lifestyle lolitas decided to take their lifestyle to the extreme and build a group of lifestylers, having set rules and guidelines for being in that group, then yes it could be considered a cult.
9 - Do you agree in anyway that there is a connection between the Lolita fashion
and the novel written by Vladimir Nabokov?
Possibly, as in that lolita is a projection of childlike girls fashion, but anything past that no, they are not similar in the least.
1 - what age group do you fit into?:
ReplyDelete21 to 25.
2 - Sex: (male/female)
Female.
3 - Your preferred Lolita style: (eg: classic, gothic, sweet, etc)
I love them all individually for what they stand for, but if I had to choose it would be gothic, classic, and otome.
4 - Why do you wear/ Why did you become interested in the Lolita fashion?
What is it particularly about the fashion that appeals to you?
I became interested in the fashion after seeing it around the internet, and then my best friend started wearing it. I loved the way she looked in it and when I tried it on for myself, I found that my confidence level had gone up quite a bit. I have low self-esteem and lolita is just one of those things that I am not ashamed of. I love how it makes me feel while I'm in it. I feel beautiful, innocent, and untouched by the madness of the world. It's a very profound and personal feeling.
5 - Why do you think other girls wear lolita?
I believe that boosting self-confidence, the need to be noticed and complimented, and just pure love for the style are some reasons why. I can't say what it is for everyone, but the fashion is about more than the clothing.
6- Do you:
a) buy and wear only brand
b) prefer to make your own clothes
c) like to buy clothes but stick to stores like BodyLine or replica stores like Dream of Lolita
and Secret Shop?
I own several brand items, bodyline items, and replica items. Most of us in America and around the world are not built like Japanese girls. We have larger busts, wider hips, and are usually taller. This makes it hard for us to stick with brand, myself included.
7 - Do you follow the strict rules outlined for the correct attire and etiquette?
Yes. Bloomers and petticoats are a must for Lolita, but don't forget that you should still be able to have fun and be yourself. There are many different styles, and as long as you are doing that particular style justice then I see no problem. Offering advice is good, but don't beat down on someone for "doing it wrong".
8 - Do you believe that following these rules is required to be a "true Lolita"?
No. There is no such thing, to me. Who says what that is? Many people would argue that you must be 5'3", weigh 100 pounds, and be Japanese. This is obviously not the case, because we are all beautiful with something to offer to the community.
9 - Are there other Lolitas in your area? If so, where abouts in the world are you and
how many others are there near you?
There are many groups where I live. My friends and I have our own group of about 10-15 at the moment, and there are two other larger groups that we intermingle with. I live in Wichita, KS.
10 - Are you or do you know of any "lifestyle lolitas"?
I would call myself a part-time Lolita. I do only wear dresses or skirts when possible, but that is more my personal taste. I don't know of any girls that fit this particular stereotype completely, but many of us try to incorporate something lolita-esque into our daily lives.
11 - What is your opinion on the concept that a strict Lolita lifestyle can be compared to
a cult or religion?
This is ridiculous. People who think this are ignorant and uneducated about what Lolita is. We don't worship any satanic god that we make sacrifices to or only let certain people join in on it. If someone wants to wear frilly dresses all day everyday then why not?
9 - Do you agree in anyway that there is a connection between the Lolita fashion
and the novel written by Vladimir Nabokov?
The name Lolita does have some relevance to a childlike demeanor, but I don't believe this book has a real connection to the fashion. Sweet lolita is only one of the styles that can make you look overly childlike, but classical and gothic are more elegant and sophisticated. The aim of the fashion is not to look just like a child and lure in older men to seduce us. That is the last thing I would want. It is to preserve our innocence as women and feel beautiful.

sweet, casual, OTT
being modest with our bodies but still having fun, unique and "flashy" if you will with our clothes. i really just love how cute it is and how beautiful it can be. i also have emotional roots in lolita.
exactly because of what i said, or that is plain cute, or even becuase they have interest in the eras lolita is based off of, for most lolitas.

i think i do, i donnot really see them as strict rules but guidelines or even morals in the lolita community. its ideal we follow them all and it makes us a better lolita.
no, there are to many definitions to lolita. and im not talking about when people say if it has bows and its ruffly its lolita, cause to me personally its not, but theres being a life style lolita, or treating lolita as a fashion and my favourite is being a lolita at heart.
yes but not too many personally
none of that is true imo. the strict life style to me are just rules on how to wear your clothes and what you can wear. its like if you have to wear clthes to a formal event. there are guidelines not religious beliefs.
yes. i do not believe there is a huge direct relavence but there is a good one, just not in the way most people think the relavences are being made. everything in some way are connected to another and to deny the book is not at all related to us well i suppose up to you. but the charcter is a young pretty girl. most lolita try to dress like young pretty girls theres nothing wrong with it. there are those similarities but at the same time the book is really different. the name may be the same but did the author write about lolita fashion, how to wear it and meet ups and dressing up in modest attire that cover like all of your skin, no.
